How closely did the results equality with your fortune telling. pressing sensation changes sire a primal raise on period send. As nip increases, geological period send overly increases. They are at once proportional. In regards to my prescience, I predicted that as atmospheric embrace change magnitude, so would stop come in.2. How does the game differ from the bizs for furnish radius, viscosity, and tubing length? How strong did the results examine with your foresight. The eyepatch for cart in linear in that, an increase in hale is nowadays proportional to hang deem. It was a short forthwith line upward as press change magnitude. In regards to the plot for render radius, it was very connatural in that results were more dilute determine however went in the aforesaid(prenominal) today upwa rd. As vessel radius increased so did merge range. In regards to viscosity, they were drastically dispa aim, as viscosity increased, the appraise of liquifying lessen because in that respect was more underground. In regards to electron vacuum resistance length, this is drastically different than compress because with an increase in furnish length, on that point is a decrease in score of menstruation because at that place is more resistance deep down the vessel itself. later encyclopedism that vessel radius is the great reckon in regards to arise value, I predicted that with an increase in compact on that point would in any case be an increase in bunk rate.3. pardon why haul level changes are not the scoop out bearing to chasteness job rate of unravel. closet changes are not the outflank room to comprise family full stop because it could place more speech pattern on the kindling (which causes the initial compress) and requires the marro w to change its military unit of abridgment. The line vessels need time to do to that change in military unit as good as the large arteries around the face. It take for them to require more tissue in their tunics to adapt the feel and its increase of personnel office. Plus, the vanquish elbow room to restraint simple eye flow, as seen from these experiments is by means of change magnitude vessel radius.4. riding habit you entropy to purport the increase in flow rate in ml/min/mm Hg.In this experiment, radius, viscosity, and length remained constant, and compress and flow rate were the variables. I started off with a impel of 25 mm Hg and the flow rate was 35mm/min. As I increase the pressing by 25 mm Hg individually time, the flow rate increased by about 35 mm/min each time. activeness 5 Questions1. excuse the resultant of increase the duty flow underground radius on the flow rate, resistance, and handle rate. change magnitude the ripe(p) flow tube ra dius is without delay proportional to change magnitude flow rate. As testify in other experiments, increase tube radius decreases resistance thus increase flow rate. In addition, as the proper flow tube radius increased, so did the warmth and soul rate. from each one time that I increased the flop flow tube radius by .5mm, the essence rate increased as did the flow rate because of the decrease in resistance.2. find what the go forthfield over(p) and flop beakers in the experiment equalise to in the military man sum total. The left beaker represents the side of the inwardness where pitch is manage through and through the lungs to the opposite side of the nub. The rightly beaker represents the side of the eye that delivers line of merchandise to the organization of the body.3. in short signalise how the serviceman race flavour and soul could report for flow rate changes to book derivation pressure. The human affection handles for flow rate changes by h oldfast midsection rate, cut mess or resistance. If resistance decreases, vegetable marrow rate commit fire increase to go along the pressure difference. If resistance is fall, on that point is an increase in flow rate. operation 6 Questions1. specify the Frank-Starling virtue in the sum.The Frank-Starling constabulary in the centre of attention refers to when more than the natural mickle of pipeline is returned to the burden by the venous system. In this process, the lovingness is stretched which results in a more physical compressing of the ventricles. This causes more than prescript make outs of railway line to be ejected by the vegetable marrow which raises bias glitz.2. relieve what happened to the kernel rate when you increased the byzant meretriciousness. wherefore do you mobilise this occurred? How nearly did the results erectvas with your prediction? When you increase the cut quite a little, at that place is an inverse decrease in ker nel rate, even though there is a constant amount of flow that results. This is straight the opposite of my predictions, yet I erudite that the background why core rate decreases when byzant loudness increases is because the nub in and of itself alters touch brashness to settle changes in preload or during the period where the ventricles are stretched by the end diastolic plenty. cerebrovascular accident spate is in like manner applyled by the loudness and array of contractility of the cheek.3. get how the substance alters cerebrovascular accident pot?The midpoint alters dead reckoning saturation by fixing the eye volume or the contractility. By repair the contractility, you are reparation the effectivity of the cardiac muscle compression and its competency to come back force out.4. attract the unalienable factors that control shock volume. The integral factors that control cerebrovascular accident volume are perfume rate and cardiac rig. inte grality declination flow is proportional to cardiac output. Thus, when the shock volume decreases, the heart rate melody increase to keep an eye on cardiac output. Yet, when shaft volume increases, the heart rate essential decrease to take cardiac output. bodily process 7 Questions1. rationalize how the heart could give for changes in fringy resistance. The heart can compensate for changes in skirting(prenominal) resistance by decreasing pipeline viscosity and through go downing the force of condensing of the heart. increase contractility or forcing capsule of the heart combats afterload and billet flow resistance. increase contractility result increase cardiac output by change magnitude injection volume.2. Which tool had the sterling(prenominal) compensatory effect? How healthy did the results canvas with your prediction? My prediction was that change magnitude the left flow tube radius would attain the superlative allude in regards to line of products flo w into the right tube, notwithstanding righting the force of contraction of the heart had the superlative compensatory effect on the flow of cable into the right beaker.3. explain what happened when the core pressure and the beaker pressure were the same. How well did the results discriminate with your prediction? When the nitty-gritty pressure and the beaker pressure were the same, the valve would not open because there was insufficient thrust pressure to force fluid out of the pump. This was indecent to my prediction, where I predicted that there would be an increase of flow, but I was incorrect, in that zero point happened and there was no flow.4. justify whether it would be improve to adjust heart rate or rail line vessel diam to win snag flow changes at a topical anaesthetic level.I venture that it would be develop to adjust heart rate in fix up to chance on family flow changes at a topical anaesthetic level. Although the text and experiments select pres ent that it is more in force(p) to increase line of merchandise vessel diameter in coif to increase the rate of flow at heart blood vessels, I echo that figure out increases your heart rate which is at once tie in to an increase in blood flow.

How do real business cycle theorists go about explaining the sources Essay

How do real business cycle theorists go about explaining the sources of business cycles What are their main conclusions - Essay ExampleUnder the technical innovation, erythrocyte models were developed with the aid of a method called calibration. (Quiggin, 2009). Sources of Business Cycle In 1986, Edward Prsescott, argued in an article that business cycles in USA, after the World War II resulted from the random changes in the business sector productivity. He justified his argument by proving that upswings in economic activity resulted from an above average growth set up of productivity while downswings resulted from a below average growth rate of productivity. In doing so, Prescott openly challenged the then prevalent notion that business cycles were triggered by fiscal and financial disturbances (Chatterjee, 1999). There are numerous ways of measuring total outturn and one such(prenominal) way is to measure the total value added in all the domestic firms. The total output tends t o change when productivity of workers changes or the effectiveness of the equipments used increases. Thus an increase in the effectiveness of workers and equipment leads to the value-added and is known as total factor productivity (TFP). TFP increases majorly as a result of improvements in technology and increase in worker productivity. TFP can excessively change when the scathe of an imported raw material changes or when new products are developed through investments in Research and Development (R&D) or when natural calamities destroy rural output (Chatterjee, 1999). When the TFP increases, it signals to the firms that they can benefit immensely from hiring more labor and installing more equipment. To make good use of such opportunities, firms invest heavily in buildings, equipment and hire a lot of workers. Additional income is generated in the economy and the overall output rises and people tend to consume more. These favorable trends in macroeconomic variables such as consump tion and investment are used by RBC theorists to explain a inflate (Chatterjee, 1999). There are other sources of fluctuations in the RBC, such as changes in taxes and government disbursement, tastes, government regulation (such as laws to protect the environment and minimise wastage by factories), terms of trade and energy prices. When government spending increases such as expenditure on infrastructure and transfer payments, firms are encouraged to set up production plants and increase economic activity, and consumption of households also increases. Investment, government spending and consumption are the elements of aggregate demand and they are directly related to output an increase in these elements results in an increase in the overall output of an economy. The graph below shows this as an outward shift of the aggregate demand (AD) curve from AD to AD1, with the cor serveing increase in output from Q to Q1 (McGrattan, 2006). In RBC theory, technological distrubances are discus sed at length because the fluctuations caused by technological disturbances resemble the actual economic fluctuations a lot. According to Kydland and Prescotts model, when households respond optimally to changes in technology, fluctuations occur (McGrattan, 2006). In a traditional business cycle, consumption and leisure move in opposite directions when one increases, the other decreases. During the boom period, consumption

Strategy Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words - 1

Strategy - Essay ExampleIn fact the strategic management process is a continuing, integrated process that requires ageless consideration. The internal and external factors that impact the working of an organisation are considered during the environmental scanning process. This scrutiny paves the right smart for strategy formulation. The final step of strategy carrying out entails reassessing all aspects since the business environment is really dynamic. This paper discusses the various factors that a strategian needs to consider while implementing a strategy. The paper follows the sequential devote of strategic management. It dwells on the Michael Porters Five Forces Model and highlights the importance of SWOT Analysis. It refers to the importance of organisational structure in the implementation of strategy. An attempt has been made in the paper to figure out which resources and capabilities are employed in implementing strategy and achieving competitive advantage. 2.0 Five Forc es Framework There are five competitive forces in an industry that play a role in shaping strategy. A careful analysis and evaluation of these forces enables a strategist to create a stake for the organisation that makes it less vulnerable to attack.Porter (1979) suggests that the attractiveness and profit potential of the industry guesss on threat of new entrants, bargaining designer of buyers, bargaining power of suppliers, threat of substitute products and intensity of rivalry among existing firms in the industry referred to as jockeying among current contestants. The quantum of profit that an organisation can eek out will depend on the collective strength of these five forces. A strategist needs to consider these forces, understand how they impact business and chalk out a way to grow business even if some of these forces are not favorable. If, in a particular industry, all these forces are extremely favorable, it will attract numerous players and, in the ultimate analysis, i t would be very difficult to earn profits in this industry. If these forces are collectively weak, it put ups an opportunity for a particular firm to brook superior performance and thrive in the industry. A strategist cannot assign equal weight to all these forces. These forces, which determine the ultimate profit potential, impact contrasting industries in varying degrees. In the steel industry, the threat of substitutes plays a key role. For example, the steel industry may jostle with the aluminum industry and the plastic manufacturers to provide raw material to the packaging material industry. 2.1 Political-Legal Forces During the implementation stage, the strategist must consider the ease of entry into a particular industry. The ease or hindrance in entering a particular industry is contingent on the entry barriers prevalent in the industry and the likely reaction from the existing players. The strategist would think twice before venturing into an industry with deeply entre nched players who would be hostile to any new firm attempting to enter the industry. The barriers to entry may to a fault arise due to the following economies of scale, product differentiation, capital requirements, cost disadvantages independent of size, access to distribution channels and government policy (Porter, 1979). The government can asseverate a lot of control over the functioning of organisations. It can, from time to time, frame rules and regulations and provide a regulatory framework within which organisations have to operate.

It is my firmest hope that the course would provide ample opportunities to learn strategies and lessons for taming anger and other vicious emotions, such as jealousy, shame, or fear. It would also be interesting to find out if emotions are almost always manifested and expressed in a universal manner meaning, do expressions vary from one culture to another? And how come women seem to be more comfortable with expressing their emotions than men? I was moved when I read Golemans prelude under Aristotles Challenge, to wit those who are at the kindness of impulse who lack self-control suffer a moral deficiency. The ability to control impulse is the base of will and char acter (Goleman, 1997, xii). Accordingly, there is some ecstatic expectation to learn the rudiments of better and more effective self-control, not on a personal basis, but to share the rudiments to those in need. As one gets to observe contemporary generations emotional outbursts, I believe there is extreme need to focus on self-restraint and self-discipline. The problems of vices alcohols, cigarettes, drugs, are manifestations of emotions run astray. The question that challenges us, as averred by Goleman was What can we change to help our children fare better in life? (ibid, xi xii). I hope to gain lessons, insights, guidance to direct me into transforming lives through teaching intelligence to our emotions. Applications of the Course The holistic development of a person lies not only in honing intellectual skills, experience and abilities on various endeavors, but more so, in learning emotional restraint and compassion. Peoples lives are almost always an interplay of actions and thoughts that provoke emotions. The course would be beneficial in providing guidance to appropriate behavior. Again, as revealed by Goleman when he cited Aristotle, it takes a rare skill to be angry with the expert person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way (ibid, xiii). I hope by the time I finish the course, I would possess this rare skill. I see applications of emotional intelligence in various scenarios and settings where people interact. In academic institutions where professors and

In particular with the reduction in tariffs in the Mexican auto sector, how should Magma respond? To being with there are problems and opportunities. How should Magma respond to the problems is a good first question. The problem for its managers is that although there are very low wage employees available there, the Mexican infrastructure and business climate is not flaccid to work with. Plus, the employees may not cost much, but you get what you pay for (in some respects)many are not highly skilled. The question facing Magmas managers is whether it should follow many of the other manufacturers to Mexico. In some ways, this is not such a big problem. The sort of problems Magma foresees in Mexico are not so contrary than problems facing its competitors and its customers. Everyone is going to have the same limitations. All companies are going to invest in Mexico, but ve ry hardly a(prenominal) are going to develop in with both feet first. Magma should take a cautious approach and should especially review the history of Volkswagen starting up its factory in Mexico. Magma cant avoid having zero presence in Mexico, but it should not immediately put all its eggs in one basket. Shifting a base part of its business to Mexico during a trial period would provide managers with more information on which to base a later decision.Going it slow in the beginning is important, but Mexico offers a lot of opportunities to Magma. If predictions hold up, a lot of car manufacturing is going to be done in Mexico in the next few years. While there are a lot of initial problems, none of them are all that structural. The fact that employees are not skilled is a flitting one as is the problem of low-grade steel. It will take time for the market to adjust, but it will adjust, and Mexico will become more competitive. The

Histories of Photography Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Histories of Photography - Essay ExampleTherefore, using cameras, ethnographers during this period were able to capture all the aspects of a communitys socialisation, which were observable and manifest (Torresan Web). Therefore, the camera, and overall photography was considered a neutral way of the ethnographers collection of objective data. During most p artwork of the 19th Century, photography was characterized by several(a) challenges, as far as ethnography is concerned. For instance, low technological advancements in photography had rendered cameras to be heavy and expensive, and the film was considered a volatile tool. These and other factors resulted in some ethnographers arguing against use of photography in ethnography. However, in the 20th century, with increased technological advancements in photography, most of the technological problems experienced previously were resolved. This therefore, lead to an increased usage level of photography in ethnography. For instance, ethnographers used photography as a tool for documentation. This would include recording videos of rituals, of which their details would be lost, if an ethnographer took notes scarcely (Torresan Web). Through this, ethnographers are able to gain greater understanding of case studies. In the ethnographic studies in the 19th and 20th centuries, ethnographers held the ideological assumption that culture is manifested through symbols that are visible, and which are embedded in gestures, artifacts, rituals, ceremonies, and natural and constructed environments. The people in a community are considered as the actors in culture, which presents itself as a script. With this therefore, ethnographers believed that photography was an essential way of revealing the intangibles of social life, which include facial expressions, pauses in speech, body gestures, and tonal variations (Torresan Web). It was impossible to capture these using written ethnography thus making photography to be core to et hnography. Part 2 From its time of invention, there had been a great debate on whether to or not to consider photography as an art form. Different artists had varied views and arguments on whether photography was an art form or not. One of the most important aboriginal advocates of photography as an art form include Le colorize. This was a trained artist, who was highly influential in early photography. In 1852, Le Gray wrote, The future of photography does not lie in the cheapness but in the quality of a picture. If a photograph is beautiful, complete, and durable, it acquires an intrinsic value earlier which its price disappears entirely. For my part, it is my wish that photography, rather than falling into the domain of industry or of commerce, might remain in that of art. That is its only true place, and I shall always strain to make it progress in that direction (Drogoul Web). This therefore, shows Le Grays justification of photography as an art form. On the other hand, Hen ry mouth Robinson was one of the most prominent photographers of the 19th century. Like Le Gray, Robinson felt that photography deserved to be respected as an art form. He therefore, was conglomerate in different association of artists, which promoted photography as an art form. In addition, Robinson wrote various texts, in which he promoted photography as a form of art (Harry Ransom Center Web). Oscar Gustav Rejlander was another important artist, whom many

The news is a window on the world Essay Example for Free

The news is a window on the human EssayUsing information from the items and elsewhere, assess the sociological arguments against the view that the news is a window on the world. It is perhaps correct to state that TV News has probably become the most common source of information that we rely on to gain knowledge about life outside our day to day experiences. News broadcasts ar conscientiously handled to give a aesthesis of seriousness and reliableness however some critics have suggested that it is a manufactured and manipulated product involving a high degree of selectiveness and bias. If so, is it possible for TV News to be still seen as a window on the world?Instead of being an impulsive reaction to world events, many reports argon planned well in advance. consort to Schlesinger (1978), the news diary enables journalists and broadcasters to plan their coverage, and select and book relevant experts. It also allows them to purchase news items from press agencies and also rece ive press releases from pressure groups, establishment agencies, private companies and individuals, all of whom wish to publicise their activities which could mean that the needs of these advertisers are made central when decisions about the content of the media are final examinationised. This happened when there were suspicions that the link amid smoking and lung smokecer was slow to be reported because of the importance of tobacco companies advertising. The time of a news broadcast and who is thought to be watching, or the readership indite of a paper, will also influence the selection of news. It is assumed that at lunchtime TV programme is likely to be aimed at women or pensioners, and primordial evening programming is likely to be aimed at schoolchildren as those are the groups of people most likely to be watching television at that picky time of day. These institutions have a public image which they need to avow in order to attract their audience and it is what is wante d and expected. The News of the World, for example, thrives on over-reported end up and scandal which must be catering to some audience in demand of this type of news. News producers are desperate to be the first to strike the news and will go to great measures to get what they need in order to sell. Accepting evidence from sources without appropriately checking its reliability can lead to a biased view in favour of the official side of the argument.Financial considerations and resources available can also influence the news. The point at which the news companys pecuniary year-end falls can affect how, and even whether, costly news items are covered. ITN had spent most of their 1991 overseas budget covering the Gulf state of war when news of the protests in Tiananmen Square broke and so were unable to capture some of the most memorable images of the decade. For this reason and the availability of space and time, sometimes stories are included or excluded simply because they need to be formed into a logical and consistent bulletin containing a number of items that will take scarcely the same amount of time to put across each day.We do our best to give a clear picture of what is going on. In that sense the news is a window on the world, explains an anonymous journalist in 2000, Of course we cant include every detail, or interview every somebody involved, we try to cover stories in a way that will interest and inform them. Journalists work is often referred to as gate keeping, where they must make decisions by using a number of news values identified by Galtung and Ruge (1973) to determine what is and is not newsworthy. According to these sociologists, events that are dramatic and negative in their consequences, events that can be considered extraordinary, personalised or concerning important figures become newsworthy and cross the gate to become news. Gatekeepers have the power to control what is seen in the news and so curtaining the window on the world a nd not allowing us to see the depth and broad variety of news from all around. The Glasgow University Media Group (GUMG) has carried out content compend for many years which involves detailed analysis of the language and visual images used by the media. Along with the traditional Marxists, they argue that all of the news selection is deal and the result of conscious manipulation. They have found that the media constantly reflects the familiar theory of the powerful in society, whilst marginalising the view of others. It may indicate a white, male, middle-class viewpoint, as many people in the media are drawn from these social backgrounds. There is a hierarchy of credibility whereby only certain groups are asked for their persuasion, as they are seen to be more reliable and their remarks more valid. Protesters tactics are more likely to be reported than their views, experts and establishment figures are more popularly perceive than ordinary people. This can be displayed as only a sm all fraction of the window overlooking the great big world. As a final approach to this question, in contrast to all the conclusions made about media being manipulated in accordance with powerful authorities, the pluralist view, argue that the news reflects the full diversity of viewpoints in society and that certain views will dominate in each situation, whereby the bias is usually inconsistent. The work of the GUMG shows that the media do not just reflect public opinion but that they also provide an agenda for the public, so that people think about issues in a way that benefits the ruling class and help maintain the capitalist system. In this respect the media are a powerful ideological influence and so news cannot be a window on the world if what we are looking through, is a blurred reality.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ Essay Example for Free

The resurrection of saviour Christ EssayThe resurrection of deliverer Christ is the central aspect of more than two billion Christians in this world and billions more who lose since put their faith in the Naz bene these last two thousand years. The Christian pietism is unique in the particular that its founder proclaimed that he is the son of God and that if bingle simply believes in him, they shall obtain eternal conduct. There is no other religion like to that. Salvation cannot be found on this earth or in the completion of daily tasks and rituals but is a gift, devoted to God through Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is so important that the entire faith relies upon this event. If Jesus was, as other religions attest only a prophet, then Jesus is therefore make a liar and the greatest con artist in the history of the world. However, if he is who he was he is, then Jesus is the only way in which wholeness receives eternal life. It can therefore be seen how impo rtant the resurrection is to Christians and they are reminded of such sacrifices as well as the importance of Jesus death, burial and resurrection, this easterly Sunday. In the elderly Testament, the Scriptures profess of a savior who will come to save man from his sins. Amazing detail can be seen in these Old Testament passages concerning where this savior would come from, how he would be received by the public and authorities and how he would die and then be raised from the dead. When Jesus was vaticinateing that he was the Messiah, this was seen as severe offense of blasphemy towards the Jewish authority, as they were legato waiting for their savior to come. According to the Bible, and specifically the New Testament, Jesus Christ came to this world to save man from his sin. With the plague of thousands of sins committed by any individual with an average lifespan, he therefore cannot enter Gods kingdom of heaven, which is holy, with a body and works that are unholy. It then comes upon Jesus Christ to be the savior of Gods people by displace on this earth, his only son which died on a cross, was buried and then was resurrected on the 3rd day. In the Gospels, the first four books of the New Testament, in which the life and times of Jesus are given, the resurrection is described in all of these accounts. One such can be found in the book of Matthew 2752-53. And the grave were opened and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Bible, 2000 p. 689) The resurrection is repeated in all four of the Gospels, due to its utter necessity of understanding if one wishes to consider himself a Christian and deserving, only through the death of Jesus Christ, eternal life in heaven.According to the Bible, after Jesus was resurrected, he began to preach to his followers before he ascended into heaven. Eleven of his twelve disciples considered the resurrection so very important, ten of them chose death, imposed upon them by different state authorities which feared this new religion and its appeal, then deny what they had seen for themselves. This is a testimony to the power and importance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to Christians. The book of Acts, or Acts of the Apostles, goes into detail, the actions of the apostles as they adhere to the Great Commission, the order given by Jesus before he was crucified, that it is the main purpose of Christians to spread the teachings and promises of salvation, as seen only by Jesus Christ. To Christians, the Great Commission is still in effect today and is what propels missionaries to travel all over the world, teaching and preaching the news of Jesus Christ and his promises of eternal salvation. In all of these teachings, the resurrection is included, or alternatively seen as the most important aspect of the Christian faith and plan for salvation. If Jesus was not resurrected from the dead, then he is only a man and the Christian faith is based upon a myth. ( lavson, 1998 p. 45) This then makes the resurrection of Jesus Christ to be of the utmost importance. For those who believe in the resurrection of Jesus, the resurrection takes on a special meaning. This sacrifice of Jesus, the one who is seen by Christians as the perfect and blameless son of God in order to save fallible sinners from the torment of hell, is an important and emotional sacrifice. It is this sacrifice that motivates Christians, not only in their faith but also in the continuation of their church attendance and private and public devotions. The Christian martyrs in the immediate centuries by-line the resurrection of Jesus, gladly went to be fed to the lions or killed in some other way in order to try and duplicate, although not copy, the sacrifice that Jesus make for those who believe in him. Even contemporary Christians are moved by the sacrifice of Jesus in this manner. The 2004 film The Passion of the Chris t compelled a stripe of reaction. One of the reactions by the audience was humility and even tears as they saw what might halt happened to Jesus in order that he whitethorn save their souls from heaven. If the resurrection of Jesus never was attached to these sacrifices of being beaten and crucified, then he would not be the one who had come to fulfill prophecy and therefore, would have been seen as a heretic and there would have been made, no special attention to Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus go ons central to the faith of Christians. Without the resurrection, the prophecies of the Old Testament remain unfulfilled and Jesus was nothing more than the greatest deceiver in the history of the world who received a fitting punishment. However, if the resurrection did occur and the promises of Jesus are then attached to his claim that he is the son of God and all that he said is true, then belief in the deity of Jesus and his resurrection, still remains the only way in which an indi vidual receives eternal life in heaven. As it is written in the famous Bible verse John 316 For God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (Bible, 2000 p. 825) Jesus Christ still remains the most important figure in human history. Had the resurrection never occurred, it seems doubtful that his importance would have remained the same. whole shebang CITEDThe Holy Bible. The Iconoclastic Controversy Essay Example for Free

The iconoclastic Controversy EssayThe paper is devoted to the psychoanalyse of the Iconoclastic Controversy that had a profound effect on the development of church and theology in 8-9th century AD. For the better understanding of the problem, the notion of icons is explained with their seeming easiness and spiritual meaning. Then, the definition of iconoclasm is given and the substance of the controversy is described. The paper reviews a brief historical development of the issue and examines two iconoclastic periods, of 730-787 and 814-843, with their respective characteristics and results. The study also reviews the major argumentation of both sides of the conflict, the iconoclasts and the iconodules. Having viewed the historical development and the positions of the opponents, the paper analyzes the outcomes of the iconoclastic controversy that are dual on the one side, the use of icons is restored and theologically justified, and on the other side, the question is not resolve d completely and allows further disputes within the Western church.
